ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
A Legal Disclainer
The Lone Tailor strives to provide accessible and inclusive services in good faith and in alignment with reasonable efforts for a small business. However, nothing in this Accessibility Statement should be interpreted as a guarantee of full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or any other federal, state, or local accessibility law.
As a privately operated, by-appointment tailoring business that provides services both in a home environment and through mobile/on-site services, certain physical, environmental, or structural limitations may exist. Accommodations are offered on a reasonable-effort basis and may vary depending on safety considerations, the location of services, and the practical limitations of the setting.
This Accessibility Statement does not constitute a contract, create legal obligations beyond applicable law, or waive any legal rights of The Lone Tailor. We reserve the right to determine which accommodations can be safely and feasibly provided and may update or amend this policy at any time without prior notice.
If you have questions about accessibility or require accommodations, you are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can discuss available options.

Accessibility Statement for The Lone Tailor (Michigan, USA)
Last Updated: August 2024
The Lone Tailor (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all clients, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to accommodate accessibility needs with dignity, respect, and reasonable effort in accordance with applicable federal standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
⸻
Our Accessibility Commitment
We are dedicated to:
• Providing services in a way that is accessible, welcoming, and inclusive
• Making reasonable accommodations for clients with disabilities
• Offering alternative solutions when physical or environmental limitations exist
• Respecting the dignity, comfort, and independence of every client
As a hybrid tailoring business, we provide services both in our home-based studio and through mobile/on-site fittings, which may impact the types of accessibility accommodations available in each setting. We will work with you to determine the most accessible option for your needs.
⸻
Accessibility at Our Home Studio
Our home studio is available by appointment. Due to its residential nature, certain accessibility limitations may exist. If you have mobility, sensory, or other accessibility needs, please notify us ahead of your appointment so we can make necessary accommodations.
Possible accommodations may include:
• Providing additional space for mobility devices
• Seated fittings
• Modified fitting methods
• Scheduling times with fewer distractions or noise
• Requesting photos or measurements ahead of time to limit time on-site
• Outdoor or alternate-location fittings during suitable weather
⸻
Accessibility for Mobile / On-Site Tailoring Visits
We offer mobile tailoring services to provide greater convenience and accessibility. When visiting your location, we ask for advance notice regarding any accessibility needs so we can prepare accordingly.
Examples of accommodations that may be available for on-site visits:
• Bringing portable equipment suitable for your environment
• Conducting fittings in the area of your home that provides the greatest accessibility and comfort
• Adjusting appointment length based on client needs
Please note: For safety, we may decline in-home services if the environment presents hazards for the tailor or for service animals required by the client. Alternate arrangements will be offered when possible.
⸻
Service Animal Policy
We welcome service animals as defined under the ADA for both in-studio and mobile services.
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment:
• If you will be accompanied by a service animal, please notify us in advance so we may prepare the space and secure any household pets on the premises.
• Service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times.
• Only trained service animals performing tasks for a person with a disability are permitted.
(Note: Emotional support, therapy, or comfort animals are not classified as ADA service animals and may not be permitted indoors.)
If you require accommodations involving non-ADA support animals, please reach out in advance to discuss alternative arrangements.
⸻
Website & Digital Accessibility
We aim to ensure our website and digital content are accessible to all users, including those using assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or voice commands.
We are working toward alignment with WCAG 2.1 Level AA where feasible for a small business.
If you encounter any barriers on our website, please inform us so we can improve the experience.
⸻
Communication Accommodations
Upon request, we will make reasonable efforts to provide:
• Written materials in alternate formats (digital, large print, email)
• Additional time for fittings or consultations
• Permission for a support person to accompany you during services
• Modified communication methods based on sensory or cognitive needs
